WW II C-47 Restored to former glory

The LandLocked Aviation team in Lake Charles, LA was proud and honored to be given the chance, a few months ago, to restore a great historical airplane, the C-47 for the Liberty Foundation. This plane saw battle many times delivering supplies and troops during World War II. She came in with some battle scars, but left out of our hangars, as though, she was right off the assembly line. As you can see from the pictures below, the original paint job was stripped down to the bare metal, primed, and refinished with brand new paint. This was a remarkable restoration job that couldn't have been completed without the help from Delta airlines, Chennault International airport, PPG, Solo Graphics, Beard Aircraft Services, Planeweighs, Christopher R. Van Valkenburgh and Million Air of Lake Charles, LA.
